They are looking for an IT Audit Specialist to join their team. The role offers exposure to technology risk assessments, IT control evaluations, and auditing complex systems across the organisation. Duties:
- Execute audit assignments independently in specialist technical and general controls areas, taking full responsibility for planning, fieldwork, reporting, and client relationship management.
- Supervise audit engagement teams, including junior IT auditors, ensuring that audit engagements are completed according to planned schedules and deadlines. Take responsibility for team setup, supervision, and review, including sign-off of audit deliverables and workpapers, as well as staff performance appraisals per assignment.
- Deliver audit assignments on time while adhering to internal audit methodologies and quality requirements.
- Prepare draft audit reports, discuss and agree with management, and ensure appropriate comments and target dates are obtained.
- Assist in drafting Risk Forum and Audit Committee reports, as well as control conclusion summaries for the audited processes.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Relevant undergraduate degree or national diploma in accounting, information systems, or a related field.
- Professional certification or membership such as CISA, CA, or CIA will be advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant IT audit experience, including hands-on involvement in technical audits and general IT control reviews.
- Proven experience in supervising and mentoring junior IT auditors.
- Exposure to auditing operating systems, databases, networks, and general IT controls.
- Experience in preparing audit reports, providing technical guidance, and liaising with stakeholders including management and assurance providers.
- Experience in planning and executing audits in compliance with internal audit methodologies and quality standards.
