About the Role
The Reservationist role at IntelliStaff is a critical position that requires excellent customer service skills, efficient time management, and strong organizational abilities. As a key member of the reservations team, you will be responsible for handling reservations and bookings, as well as inquiries and cancellations via various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal with reservation enquiries, bookings, deposits, cancellations, confirmations, pro-formats
- Ensure that provisional bookings are followed up
- Check for double bookings
- Maximize occupancy with liaison of the reservationists, Reservations Manager, and the General Manager
- Maintain good relations with all other departments
- Balance occupancies daily
- Ensure that all filing is up to date
- Maintain guest history as per procedure
- Ensure credit policy is adhered to
- Follow up on travel agent voucher correspondence and other documentation that might be outstanding
- Ensure the smooth running of the reservations department
- Check arrivals
- Check groups – check payment received
- Daily reports to be completed and sent to accordingly
- Check up on no shows and cancellations
- Reporting to directors
Requirements
- Proficient in Office and Email
- Experience with Res Request or similar reservations system
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Semper (or similar reservations system) experience essential
