About the Role
The Sales Manager – Mining Equipment role at Ultra Personnel is a critical position that requires a strong relationship builder to grow divisional sales, build customer brand loyalty, and maintain market share in the Gauteng and Mpumalanga areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Increase existing client database and develop new business in Gauteng and Mpumalanga Area
- Allocate target customers according to departmental strategy and focus on developing key accounts
- Provide weekly updates on reporting, planning, and CRM updates on opportunities and quotations
- Maintain and increase market share
- Facilitate the sale and rental of equipment
- Ensure participation in market opportunities
- Complete all sales-related admin and reporting on a weekly basis
- Liaise with factories, Workshop, and Technical Product Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery
- Arrange visits to customers to discuss potential business, local or cross-border
- Demonstrate MIN products and sales offers
- Negotiate with clients to achieve profitable sales
- Establish new leads and grow the customer portfolio
- Attend meetings with clients and management
- Attend tender briefings & site visits
- Compile relevant documentation for request for offers / tenders
- Gather market information
- Ensure all relevant documentation is signed off by authorised persons
- Conduct due diligence processes
- Attend international training courses & conferences
- Attend factory and expo visits with customers
- Demonstrate sound planning and execution in terms of time management
- Liaise with Marketing Department to increase visibility
Requirements
- Post Matric Technical or Sales & Marketing Qualification (NQF 5)
- Work experience and track record of working in the mining environment, with a focus on mining sales
- Individuals must have good contacts within the mining industry
- Minimum 5 – 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service and sales
