Cape Town: Maintenance Manager – Food Industry – R600K – R500K posted by Hire Resolve

About the Role

Hire Resolves client in the Food Manufacturing is urgently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing all repairs and maintenance activities for the Processing Facility while ensuring Occupational Health & Safety Regulations are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement all repairs and maintenance activities for the Processing Facility within the constructs of Occupational Health & Safety Regulations
  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of the Maintenance team
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Manage all repairs and maintenance (preventative and emergency) activities and projects on brief, on budget, and on time
  • Staff Management
  • Financial management, budgeting, and due diligence regarding spending
  • Procurement, stores & stock control, using a modern project management program
  • Site compliance
  • Fleet maintenance
  • Maintenance of security systems
  • Reporting

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Technical)
  • Proven technical experience
  • 3 years managerial experience in preferably a Food Processing environment
  • Effective knowledge of machines and techniques used in food processing environment
  • Good written and oral communication skills with fluency in English and ability to write reports
  • Computer literacy (intermediate) in MS Office and Google Suite software packages
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Physically fit and willingness to work in outdoor conditions
  • Be willing to work overtime (incl. standby and call-out duties) and have a 24/7 availability
  • Drivers license and own reliable transport
  • Contactable references
