About the Role
Fusion Personnel is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight to sales teams, leading project managers, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve quotations prepared by sales engineers to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team.
- Ensure proposals align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Lead and mentor project managers responsible for installation delivery.
- Monitor project execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Evaluate team performance and provide coaching and development support.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges.
- Support design, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or related technical field.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience within HVAC, air-conditioning, or mechanical building services.
- At least 3–5 years’ experience working with heat pump or renewable energy systems.
- Proven experience managing technical teams, project managers, or installation teams.
- Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
