About the Role
A well-established company within the agricultural and operational sector is seeking an experienced Systems Developer with strong SQL and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central expertise to join their IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing business-critical systems while supporting integration, automation, and operational efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customise solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database views
- Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and other systems
- Support automation and system enhancement initiatives
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to Business Central users
- Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security
- Apply system updates, patches, and upgrades with minimal operational disruption
- Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Analyse operational processes and recommend system improvements
- Produce technical documentation and user guides for developed solutions
- Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and business stakeholders
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field advantageous
Proven experience as a Systems Developer or similar role
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in SQL development
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV
Strong SQL skills including T-SQL, SSMS, database design, and optimisation
Experience with APIs, web services, and system integrations
