About the Role
The Maintenance Manager/Planner – Packhouse role is a critical position in our Hoedspruit facility, requiring a skilled and experienced individual to oversee maintenance operations and ensure optimal plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs on equipment and machinery
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans
- Perform electrical planning, wiring, fault-finding, and maintenance of motors, drives, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of metal detectors, conveyor belts, PLCs, boilers, and cooling systems
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize productivity
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Relevant trade qualification is essential
- Minimum of 5 years as a qualified artisan, with electrical expertise suited for production environments
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, boiler making, and rigging
- Experience in the agricultural or packhouse industry is an advantage
