About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a luxury private game reserve in Hoedspruit for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role suited to a technically skilled and organised individual with experience in remote or luxury hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance operations across the reserve, including lodges, staff accommodation, infrastructure, and equipment
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues
- Supervise and manage maintenance staff and external contractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage maintenance budgets, stock control, and procurement
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain luxury standards
- Liaise with senior management regarding upgrades and long-term maintenance planning
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role within a lodge, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance
- Experience working in a bush or remote location advantageous
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid drivers licence

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R20,000 Negotiable DOE. Benefits include live-in accommodation, medical aid, pension fund, and structured roster of 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
