Salary: R23,000 – R26,000 Negotiable based on experience | Live-in | Benefits Included Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced fine-dining Sous Chef to join the culinary team at a world-renowned 5-star flagship safari lodge in the Greater Hoedspruit area. This is a premier opportunity for a detail-driven chef with fine dining and bush cuisine experience. ? Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate Tertiary Culinary Diploma (accredited) Minimum 3 years experience as a Sous Chef at a 5 lodge – essential Fine dining and bush catering experience essential Strong leadership and kitchen management skills Excellent stock control, ordering, and budgeting knowledge Familiar with food safety, hygiene, and kitchen regulations Up to date with modern culinary trends Confident, well-presented, and highly organised Must be computer literate (including stock systems) ? Key Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef with daily operations and team leadership Ensure high levels of hygiene and health standards in the kitchen Manage stock control, food cost, and assist in monthly stock takes Oversee mise en place and prep across multiple kitchen sections Maintain consistent 5-star quality and innovative presentation Collaborate with service teams and management to ensure seamless guest dining experiences Train and mentor junior kitchen staff ?
