About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Sous Chef to join our team at Mariners Wharf Restaurant in Hout Bay. As a key member of our kitchen crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality dishes are prepared and presented to our customers. If you have a passion for culinary arts, excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient service
- Assist in menu planning and ordering supplies
- Perform food preparation tasks as needed
Requirements
- 1 year of restaurant experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation
Qualifications
- Relevant culinary training or certification (e.g. Baking and Pastry Arts)
