KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Ensure full compliance with all Safety, Health & Environmental regulations – Support the Planner with planned maintenance scheduling and resource allocation – Oversee and approve job card feedback, ensuring quality workmanship – Conduct daily inspections on equipment to ensure optimal availability and performance – Ensure spare parts availability for efficient maintenance execution – Analyse downtime data from control room systems for accuracy – Monitor equipment performance after breakdowns and planned maintenance interventions – Ensure timely acknowledgement of job cards and communication of delays – Manage oil sampling processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented – Maintain workshop discipline, teamwork, and high performance standards – Address repeat breakdowns ("comebacks") to identify training and performance gaps MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – National Senior Certificate (Matric) – Valid drivers license – Qualified Artisan Earthmoving Equipment – N3 in a relevant engineering field – Minimum 5 years post-trade experience – Proven experience on CAT 777 haul trucks – Extensive experience on crushing & screening plants – Minimum 3 years in fixed & mobile crushing and screening in open cast mining – At least 2 years supervisory experience in a similar role – Supervisory qualification advantageous COMPETENCIES – Computer literate (PC proficient) – Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal) – Strong leadership and technical problem-solving ability – Medically fit to pass mine medical examination
