About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Automation Sales Manager to lead and grow our automation sales division in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales team, driving revenue growth, developing key client relationships, and executing strategic sales initiatives within the automation and industrial solutions market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate the automation sales team to achieve and exceed targets
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence
- Manage key accounts and build long-term customer relationships
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to deliver tailored automation solutions
- Oversee pricing strategies, tenders, and contract negotiations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years management experience in a sales leadership role
- Proven background in automation, industrial controls, electrical, or related technical sales
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
- Solid understanding of automation products and solutions (PLCs, SCADA, drives, instrumentation, etc.)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Valid drivers licence

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
