Job Description

Generating new business, retaining and developing existing business; Achievement of realistic targets on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis; Generating new business by effectively cold calling, obtaining referrals and targeting all competitor client bases; Up-selling/cross selling to both the existing and new prospective client bases; Raising the level of service to existing clients to build and maintain a good working relationship and ensure that excellent operational service levels are being maintained by conducting PR calls; Ensuring that the Bidvest Protea Coin name, brand and image are maintained by ensuring that all administrational documentation, proposals, presentations etc. meet the required standards set out by the company; Upholding the companys Sales Policies and Procedures; Actively reporting on Competitor activity/information within your area; Look for new and innovative ways to market the Company, Services provided, and Products used i.e. editorials, mail shots, cold calling aids, advertising etc.; Networking with other Sales Executives within the Bidvest Group; Maintenance of database; Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:   Grade 12 or equivalent qualification; Proven track record in Business Development; Excellent computer literacy, including Excel, Word, Power Point (Microsoft Office); Relevant knowledge and experience in the selling of Guarding solutions; Excellent communication and customer satisfaction skills; Good telephone etiquette; Strong leadership, time management, initiative skills and administration skills; Ability to do accurate cost proposals; Strong negotiation and presentation skills; Must be target driven and well presented; Own Vehicle & Drivers License; Clean disciplinary, credit and criminal record; Technical knowledge will be advantageous

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Consultant to join a dynamic and growth-focused team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, expanding market presence, and securing long-term commercial relationships within the toilet hire / portable sanitation industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute new business development strategies aligned to company growth objectives
  • Conduct client presentations, proposals, and negotiations to successfully close deals
  • Build and maintain strong B2B client relationships
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signing
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and reporting

Requirements

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Consultant / PRO with proven experience in legal firm business development ideally with exposure to property law or conveyancing. The role is focused on networking, marketing, and sourcing new legal clients for the firms property division. This position offers flexibility and can be done part-time (12 days per week) provided there is no conflict of interest with any current employer. Key Responsibilities: Identify and secure new legal clients in the property and conveyancing sectors. Build and maintain strong professional networks and referral partnerships. Represent the firm at networking functions and community or industry events. Drive marketing and brand visibility initiatives, including social media and PR. Collaborate with management to create business growth strategies. Requirements: Proven experience in legal business development is a must; property business development will be advantageous. Compensation Structure: Ideal for someone looking for a second income with no direct conflict of interest with their current employer.
