About the Role

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Design Lead to drive intermediary experience strategy and design across a large-scale digital platform environment. This role will lead the design capability responsible for shaping intuitive, consistent and user-centred intermediary journeys across multiple products, channels and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead intermediary experience strategy across digital platforms and journeys.
  • Drive UX, UI and interaction design best practices across multiple teams.
  • Lead user research, usability testing and insight-driven design initiatives.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing design team and design culture.
  • Own and evolve the design system, governance frameworks and shared design assets.
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology and Business leaders to shape end-to-end experiences.
  • Translate strategic objectives into practical, scalable and user-centred design solutions.
  • Ensure consistency, accessibility and quality across intermediary experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • 8–12 years’ experience in Product Design, UX/UI or Service Design.
  • Proven experience leading design teams within enterprise or financial services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of human-centred design methodologies and agile delivery.
  • Experience with interaction design, user journeys, service blueprints and design systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability.
  • Experience conducting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative user research.
