About the Role

The AVP: Finance Specialist Group Reporting role is a critical component of our Group Finance function, responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support senior management decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in driving process improvements, enhancing reporting formats, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly flash reports, Exco reporting, and Board/GACC submissions
  • Assist with the coordination and consolidation of financial reporting across business units and functions
  • Prepare and maintain reporting systems for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
  • Provide financial analysis and performance insights to support senior management decision-making
  • Contribute to half-year and year-end financial reporting deliverables, including results booklets
  • Support planning processes, including Outlook, RAF, and medium-term planning (MTP) cycles
  • Assist with the standardisation and enhancement of group reporting formats and processes
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and research for presentation to senior stakeholders
  • Engage with business units as a Cluster Relationship Manager (CRM) to facilitate information flow
  • Participate in change initiatives, including system enhancements and process improvements
  • Collaborate across Group Finance and build strong stakeholder relationships

Requirements

  • B-degree in Accounting / Financial Management (minimum requirement)
  • CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (preferred)
  • Banking or financial services experience (advantageous)
