About the Role
The AVP: Finance Specialist Group Reporting role is a critical component of our Group Finance function, responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support senior management decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in driving process improvements, enhancing reporting formats, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly flash reports, Exco reporting, and Board/GACC submissions
- Assist with the coordination and consolidation of financial reporting across business units and functions
- Prepare and maintain reporting systems for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles
- Provide financial analysis and performance insights to support senior management decision-making
- Contribute to half-year and year-end financial reporting deliverables, including results booklets
- Support planning processes, including Outlook, RAF, and medium-term planning (MTP) cycles
- Assist with the standardisation and enhancement of group reporting formats and processes
- Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and research for presentation to senior stakeholders
- Engage with business units as a Cluster Relationship Manager (CRM) to facilitate information flow
- Participate in change initiatives, including system enhancements and process improvements
- Collaborate across Group Finance and build strong stakeholder relationships
Requirements
- B-degree in Accounting / Financial Management (minimum requirement)
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (preferred)
- Banking or financial services experience (advantageous)
