About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our client’s finance department in Sandton, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing accounting systems and processes, preparing monthly financial reports, and controlling the master data of the general ledger of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the duties of the Finance/Accounting team
- Implementing accounting systems and processes for the organization
- Reviewing the company’s systems and analyzing risk
- Undertake financial audits to determine the organization’s financial position.
- Preparing the company’s monthly financial reports
- Prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
- Control the master data of the general ledgers
- Reconcile income statements
- Detect and prevent financial fraud that may arise
- Review and release online banking payments
- Liaise with internal and external auditors (where applicable) and deal with any financial irregularities as they arise
- Arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Honors degree preferred
- Completion of Articles
- 5 years proven experience post articles.
- Registered with The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA)
- Experience with filing of corporate tax returns.

Salary: R900K/yr – R1.1M/yr, negotiable
