About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Group Finance & Management Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the preparation of consolidated financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and financial control activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to leverage their technical accounting expertise and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial reporting under IFRS and US GAAP
- Assist with regulatory reporting, including external disclosures and filings
- Contribute to monthly reporting processes and financial control activities
- Partner with group and international finance teams on technical accounting matters
- Assist with tax compliance and group-wide finance workstreams
- Drive process improvements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives
- Support the implementation and maintenance of SOX-compliant financial processes
- Participate in internal control design, testing, and remediation
- Ensure robust documentation and audit trails are maintained
- Support group budgeting and forecasting processes
- Work closely with FP&A and divisional finance teams on consolidated planning
- Contribute to finance transformation and system improvement projects
- Support group-level strategic initiatives and organisational projects
Requirements
- CA(SA) or equivalent qualification
- 35 years post-qualification experience
- Experience in a SOX-regulated environment (advantageous)
- Exposure to US GAAP and/or IFRS reporting (advantageous)
- Exposure to fintech, SaaS, banking, or digital environments (preferred)
