Johannesburg: Head of Sales- Radio

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Sales – Radio to lead our team in driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the Radio segment of the broadcast media marketplace. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our company’s Strategy & Corporate Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy and plan to achieve revenue targets and grow market share within the Radio segment.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed set sales targets.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop differentiated solutions based on our portfolio of traditional radio stations and digital media assets.
  • Work closely with the Creative Solutions Team to ensure high-quality proposals and presentations that offer insightful solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide regular, comprehensive monthly reports on Radio sales progress against set targets, including a detailed sales pipeline report and performance against key metrics.
  • Collaborate with Sales Intelligence, Creative Solutions, Sales Innovation, and Channel teams to successfully commercialize new product solutions and offerings.
  • Proactively address Client needs and expectations, resolving any challenging issues to ensure mutual satisfaction.
  • Engage in trade marketing efforts to maintain and enhance industry relationships, visibility, and ongoing communication.

Requirements

  • NQF7 Degree in Sales, Marketing, Media or Business Management.
  • Supplementary Media, Sales and/or other relevant training courses and certificates.
  • 810 years of progressive, successful sales leadership and management experience in media sales, especially radio.
  • Advanced knowledge of CRM systems, media measurement tools, and performance reporting.
