About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Robot Programmer Coder to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a permanent position, you will be working at our company’s premises and may be required to relocate if needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial robot programming and coding, with experience in writing code that instructs robots to perform various tasks such as manufacturing, welding, painting, assembly, and material handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Writing, testing, and modifying robotic code that controls the robots used in industrial and manufacturing processes.
- Creating instructions (code) that tell robots what to do, including movement, actions, and responses.
- Developing software that enables robots to perform specific tasks, such as moving parts, welding components, or applying paint.
- Integrating sensors into the robot’s control system and developing software to interpret sensor data, allowing robots to perceive their environment and make decisions.
- Programming and coding robots using languages such as C++, Java, Python, Rapid, TP, AS language, or others to control the robot’s behavior.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate and relevant qualifications or certificates.
- 1 – 5 years working experience in industrial robot programming and coding (on industrial robots like Yaskawa, Nachi, Kawasaki, Kuka, ABB, Fanuc, or others).
- Experience gained in writing code that instructs robots to perform tasks such as manufacturing, welding, painting, assembly, and material handling.
- Experience programming welding robots to work on chassis or other automotive parts (advantageous).
- Experience gained in integrating robotic cells (advantageous).

Salary & Benefits
Monthly salary: R27 000 to R40 000 Gross CTC per month, plus overtime pay. Salary is dependent on years of relevant experience only and skills gained regarding this vacancy. Discretionary annual performance bonus. Note that a pension scheme will be taken off your net salary, which is not negotiable.
