About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Investment Associate to join our infrastructure investment team in Johannesburg (Sandton) or Cape Town, supporting the origination, execution, and active management of infrastructure investments across Sub-Saharan Africa. This is a high-impact, hands-on role suited to an investment professional who thrives across the full transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination, execution, and active management of infrastructure investments across Sub-Saharan Africa
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for infrastructure transactions
- Coordinate due diligence and transaction execution activities
- Prepare investment committee materials and presentations
- Monitor portfolio performance, valuation, and post-investment value creation
- Engage with investors, advisors, DFIs, and portfolio stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years relevant investment experience in infrastructure private equity or related field
- Advanced financial modelling capability (non-negotiable)
- Strong transaction execution experience across infrastructure or private market deals
- Proven ability to build and interpret detailed project finance and valuation models
- Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- MBA / CFA / CA(SA) preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law or related field
