Hire Resolve’s client is looking for an experienced IT Senior Technician to join their team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. In this crucial role, the IT Senior Technician will be responsible for overseeing the IT support team and ensuring the reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure across the organization. You’ll play an essential role in managing complex issues, leading projects, and providing technical support to end-users.

Responsibilities 

• Supervise and mentor the IT support team, providing guidance on complex technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems efficiently.
• Manage IT projects, including system upgrades and installations.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of IT systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff on IT best practices.
• Maintain documentation of IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to make informed recommendations.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience in managing IT projects and leading teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as A+, Network+, or MCSE are highly preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
