About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Locomotive Inspector to join our team in Johannesburg. As a qualified technician with 8-15 years of experience, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our locomotive systems and implementing corrective actions to prevent non-conformance. Your sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering technologies is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Implement quality management system requirements (ISO 9001:2015) and SANS 3000-1 System Requirements

• Conduct statistical process control to identify potential issues

• Diagnose problems and implement corrective actions

• Maintain valid driving license

Requirements

• National Diploma (Qualified Technician) in Mechanical, Electrical & Industrial Engineering

• 8-15 years relevant experience as a technician

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of locomotive systems

• Experience working with locomotives or similar equipment

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
