About the Role
A company that manufactures, markets, and services affordable, quality home appliances in South Africa and internationally is seeking a highly organized and creative Marketing Assistant/Coordinator to join their dynamic team and support the KIC/Whirlpool brand. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to grow into a Junior Product Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage promotional materials and campaigns (ATL/BTL)
- Coordinate with creative agencies and manage social media and website updates
- Support product launches, conduct market research, and track competitor activity
- Create marketing materials and presentations
- Coordinate and assist in organizing trade shows, promotional events, and store activations
- Manage marketing and merchandising material
- Handle daily administrative tasks, track invoices, manage the marketing budget, and provide overall support to the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 2-3 years of marketing or trade marketing experience, preferably in consumer durables
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A team player with strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
