As part of a broader digital transformation journey, the Automation Developer plays a key role in delivering automation and AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This on-site position, based in Johannesburg, focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated workflows, integrating AI technologies and APIs, enabling cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Build and optimize automated business processes using low-code platforms (e.g., Nintex K2, n8n, Power Automate).
Customize interfaces (HTML/CSS), script workflow logic (JavaScript), and handle backend automation (Python).
Integrate systems via RESTful APIs, ensure secure data exchange (OAuth) and webhooks.
Manage and transform data formats (JSON, XML, CSV); basic SQL/database knowledge required.
Use version control (Git) and support CI/CD for deployment.
Analyse and map processes to identify automation opportunities.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues promptly.
Gather requirements from key business stakeholders to understand the business needs and translate them into technical solutions and workflows.
Apply, monitor, and refine AI solutions to improve processes.
Provide system support, including updates, patching, and testing.
 
Job Experience and Skills Required:
 
1–3 years’ experience with low-code automation.
Background in automation, IT, computer science, or related field.
Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and independent working skills.
