Job Description

About the Role

You will act as the technical backbone for our engineering projects, taking ownership of process design, costing, and project management. This is a hands-on, hybrid role where you will switch between office-based tender management and site-based project delivery. You will be responsible for proving concepts in our lab and pilot plants, navigating the commercial requirements of project bidding, and providing technical leadership to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Execute process design, mass/energy balances, and cost estimations for new and existing projects.
Review project enquiries, prepare competitive quotations, and provide the technical expertise required to win tenders.
Manage the preparation and execution of test runs in the lab and on client sites, including documentation and data analysis.
Oversee end-to-end project execution, including site works, equipment validation (FAT/SAT), and scheduling.
Supervise and mentor Junior Process Engineers while ensuring strict adherence to site safety (SHEQ) and quality standards.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure project continuity.

Requirements

Degree or BTech in Chemical Engineering or a related process engineering discipline.
Proven experience in process design, plant commissioning, and project management—ideally within water treatment or mineral processing.
Proficiency in process design software (e.g., Aspen, ChemCAD, or membrane simulation tools) and a solid understanding of PFDs and P&IDs.
Strong working knowledge of SHEQ and ISO standards within industrial/mining environments.
Demonstrated ability to prepare technical tenders, quotations, and feasibility studies.
