About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Driver to join our team as part of a Property Development Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials across various provinces, utilizing their expertise in heavy-duty articulated Tipper trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive heavy-duty articulated Tipper trucks to transport materials from sites and travel long distances.
- Expertly operate the hydraulic tipping mechanism to unload materials on-site.
- Execute the safe loading and unloading of materials, monitoring that the maximum legal weight limits are strictly followed for each load.
- Maintain accurate daily trip sheets, delivery notes, and logbooks.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (tires, brakes, lights, hydraulic systems) and report faults.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning the vehicle and greasing hydraulic components, while reporting any mechanical defects immediately to supervisors.
- Work irregular hours, including overtime and weekends.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years driving heavy articulated vehicles, specifically back-tippers.
- Valid Code 14 (EC) drivers license.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- A clear criminal record.
- Stable work history.
- Good understanding of truck mechanics and site safety regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors and in remote environments with extended time away from home.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on uneven, unpaved construction surfaces.
