Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a relevant tertiary degree (B. Sc. or M. Sc.) in Plant Breeding, Agriculture, or a related field Minimum 1 -2 years post-graduate experience in plant breeding or related roles Strong understanding of plant breeding principles and methodologies is essential Experience in wheat, small grains, sorghum or other row crops is preferred Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to be on site daily The successful candidate will be responsible for: Conducting breeding experiments to develop improved crop varieties. Analyzing data and reporting findings to the Managing Director. Collaborating with research teams and agronomists on breeding programs. Managing field trials and evaluating plant performance under various conditions. Maintaining accurate records of breeding activities and results. Assisting in the development of new breeding techniques and technologies. Participating in industry conferences and workshops to stay updated on advancements. Working closely with stakeholders to address agricultural challenges and optimize crop production. Providing technical support and training to team members and partners.
