About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Power Solutions Specialist to join our team at SET Consulting in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a 2nd-line support specialist, you will provide critical assistance to MS contract management, conduct troubleshooting and analysis, and contribute to the solution dimensioning function. You will also assist with operational performance, interpret data performance reports, and promote a culture of values alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Power business strategy implementation
- Assists with the implementation of the market strategy (product, performance, deployment, and operations) and manages solution dimensioning (i.e., design and customisation of solutions).
- Contributes to the financial performance of the Power business.
- Assists with functional processes, procedures, and governance for the successful delivery of the Power business.
- Engages and collaborates with internal teams to deliver and support Power solutions.
- Responsible for root-cause analysis when resolving performance issues.
- Assists with managing risks associated with the Power business operations.
- Assists with operating a Power business within the required emissions targets.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering B-Tech degree or diploma
- Delta Advanced Power Systems & Controllers training
- Training courses:
- Delta DC Power Systems, Advanced PSC3 & Orion
- Energy Efficiency Fundamentals
- OHS Principles, Implementation and Site Files
- Battery Safety and Environmental Concerns
- PV solar for professionals
- Practical electrical safety techniques for industry
- At least ten years work experience in the telecoms industry with Power Technical Support experience.
- Computer literacy (MS Office suite-EXCEL; Company’s system; and the ticketing system (Sales Force))
- Research skills to stay abreast of new trends and developments in the industry
- Power-related technical skills
