About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a defined geographic area or product line, establishing and implementing sales strategies, and collaborating with senior management to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs and manages a Sales Team to achieve consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues
- Collaborates with Managing Director to establish realistic sales goals and objectives
- Manages an assigned geographic sales team and area or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives
- Establishes and implements effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise, and train sales personnel
- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with Managing Director
- Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company and accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products
- Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff productivity
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results
- Formulates all sales policies, practices, and procedures
- Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top decision-makers and Key account support
Requirements
- Proven track record in sales of heavy duty equipment (cranes, lifting equipment, hoists)
- Qualification in Sales / Marketing Management is highly advantageous
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
