About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth in a defined geographic area within Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing personnel, and ensuring consistent profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Managing Director in establishing realistic sales goals
- Manages assigned geographic sales team and area or product line to maximize sales revenues
- Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise, and train sales personnel
- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts
- Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products
- Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff productivity
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results
- Formulates all sales policies, practices, and procedures
- Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top decision-makers
- Collaborates with Managing Director to develop sales strategies to improve market share
- Interprets short-and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit
- Educates sales team through programs/seminars on new account sales, growth, profitability, and competitive strategies
Requirements
- Proven track record in sales of heavy duty equipment (cranes, lifting equipment, hoists)
- Qualification in Sales / Marketing Management is highly advantageous
