Durban: Area Manager

About the Role

As an Area Manager in our Durban office, you will be responsible for providing top-notch security advice to clients while ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct threat and risk assessments for clients
  • Manage manpower, equipment, and rostering to ensure seamless operations
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
  • Handle client complaints effectively and professionally
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met at all times
  • Maintain the ISO 9001 quality system
  • Chair disciplinary hearings and ensure compliance with company disciplinary code
  • Manage Health and Safety procedures
  • Resolve security officer issues reported by clients
  • Follow established SOPs and ensure training takes place as needed
  • Provide after-hours support and assist with shift changes as a standby manager
  • Attend meetings, take calls, and provide urgent assistance on rest days

Requirements

  • PSIRA certification Grade A (preferred)
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Firearm competency and valid Regulation 21 certificate (advantageous)
  • Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle training (advantageous)
  • Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position
  • Knowledge of risk management methods and techniques
  • Familiarity with tools or systems providing access security control
