About the Role
The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by minimizing stock losses on the sales floor. This role is mainly responsible for accurately checking outbound stock for delivery to buyers, while also contributing to maintaining smooth operations on the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Thorough and accurate control of outbound stock by comparing the actual stock being removed to the market removal slip
- Drive initiatives to reduce stock losses by prioritizing the adherence to stock removal procedures
- Drive product quality control on stock being removed to ensure buyers receive quality product
- Pack and repack pallets when necessary to optimize space and safety
- Respond to customer enquiries about available products and direct them to the relevant salesperson
- Establish and nurture relationships with buyers
- Greet and proactively offer assistance to potential buyers
- Assist the sales team in conducting daily stock counts
- Assist in daily stock rotation in the storage area
- Pack and repack pallets when necessary to optimize space and safety
- Assist in receiving and checking of consignments
Requirements
- Matric is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be willing to work between the hours of 04:00 to 12h30 Monday to Saturday
