About the Role
The Senior Technical Advisor – Technical Services role is a critical position that ensures the successful delivery of projects across every stage of the project life cycle. This involves managing transactions, adhering to approved specifications, and fulfilling all agreed contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to IDC approved project/transaction budgets, implementation timelines, specifications, and funding conditions.
- Perform technical due diligence on projects, including evaluating the sufficiency and completeness of the project scope of work, assessing technical solutions and technology, and identifying major risks that need to be managed or included in the budget.
- Prepare a technical appraisal report detailing the results of the assessment and outlining funding conditions.
- Oversee the monitoring of project progress, cost performance, quality, and risk management.
- Review project work completed against fund requests and recommend payment amounts.
- Produce detailed reports and provide feedback to stakeholders on measurable items, such as progress milestones, cost performance, risk, and quality.
- Participate in project steering committees to influence and manage factors that can create scope creep, identify project delays, and provide technical inputs and expert advice.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: B.Eng/B.Sc/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Metallurgical/Process Engineering or equivalent.
- Registration as Professional with ECSA is advantageous.
- Combined experience of 8 to 10 years in plant engineering, project engineering, and industry sectors.
