Job Description

In order to be considered the following is required:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • 5 – 8+ years of sales experience in FMCG, with at least 2 – 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong understanding of FMCG distribution networks and retail channels
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • Leadership and team management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer relationship management
  • Results-driven and target-oriented mindset

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
  • Working capital improvements (DSO, DPO, inventory turnover)
  • Cost savings and margin improvements
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Process efficiency and automation gains

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution channels
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and consumer behaviour

Team Management:

  • Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve performance targets
  • Set clear KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Provide training and development to enhance team capabilities

Key Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors and retailers
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trade terms
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Sales Operations:

  • Forecast sales volumes and manage budgets effectively
  • Ensure proper stock availability and inventory management
  • Coordinate with supply chain and marketing teams for smooth operations

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track sales performance and prepare regular reports
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
