You will be required to understand how financial and operational data flows through the business, ensuring accurate integration, reporting, reconciliation, and analysis across multiple systems. We are looking for a highly analytical Senior BI Developer to bridge the gap between business data and financial reporting. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into meaningful insights, enabling better decision-making across the business. This role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical reporting and analytics initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. You will have direct exposure to senior stakeholders, large-scale data environments, and strategic business projects while helping shape the future of reporting, automation, and business intelligence within a forward-thinking organisation. Duties: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and business intelligence solutions. Analyse and integrate data from multiple sources to create unified reporting views. Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, data models, and reporting structures. Design and support Data Warehouse environments, OLAP Cubes, and Tabular Models. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions. Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting datasets. Design and enhance ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Administer and support BI environments, including SQL Server, SSRS, and reporting infrastructure. Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions. Analyse legacy reporting environments and drive reporting standardisation and optimisation. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within large datasets and present actionable insights to business leaders. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or Data Warehousing. Advanced SQL Server experience, including query development and optimisation. Strong experience designing and working with Data Warehouses. Advanced Power BI development experience. Experience with SSRS and structured reporting delivery. Strong ETL experience, including data extraction, transformation, and loading. Experience working with OLAP Cubes or Tabular Models. Proven ability to work with large and complex datasets. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Commercially minded with the ability to translate data into business value. Highly detail-oriented with strong data governance awareness. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Innovative, proactive, and solutions-focused. Strong organisational and project delivery skills.
