About the Role

The Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-level designs, reviewing low-level designs, and managing shop drawings for data center solutions. This role involves producing and managing bill of quantities, clarifying responsibilities with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The successful candidate will provide support to project management, oversee third-party consultants and contractors, and implement quality installations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-level designs (HLD) for data center solutions
Review low-level designs (LLD) and manage shop drawings for construction execution
Produce and manage bill of quantities (BoQ)
Clarify responsibilities with subcontractors and outline responsibility matrix
Specify main equipment needed and approve final design brief
Provide support to project management, including sub-contractor selection & management, supply chain, procurement, process management, and acceptance
Oversee and supervise third-party consultants and contractors during on-site electrical implementation
Implement and enforce electrical work SOP (Standard of Procedure) on-site for quality installations

Requirements

5 years experience in Electrical Engineering in Data Center and/or Capital Improvement Projects (Mission-Critical & industrial projects)
2 Large-Scale Data Center Projects Delivered (no less than 1 megawatts)
Strong knowledge of Low & Medium-Voltage Distribution
Experience with ELV Systems (Extra Low-Voltage) Design and Integration (Such as CCTV, Access Control, Data Networks, Alarms, Fire Detection)
Knowledge of Solar Energy Systems
Knowledge of Industry Standards (Institute, TIA 942) and Technology Vendors that relate to Data Center facilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional registration preferred
