Job Summary

The Developer is responsible in contributing to the delivery of specialist software solutions and support to the Company by developing maintaining COBOL and .Net applications, API’s, web applications in the organization along with other specialist team members. What you’ll do: The incumbent interacts and engages frequently with clients, business unit managers, project leaders, and functional heads and discusses specific business needs and requirements. He/she gauges the complexities of business processes and particular functional / business area issues, employing reasoning skills to provide customized solutions. Documenting the development work. Application deployment. Providing support to the end-users when needed. Your Expertise:  5 – 6 years of system development experience at a senior level Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Developing Windows Azure and Web Services Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 Full-stack experience Programming in C# Programming in COBOL Programming in .NET CORE 3.1 Practical knowledge of different development patterns (i.e., Repository, Unit of  Work, SOLID) (adv.) Qualifications: Senior Certificate with Core Maths or NQF 4 equivalent. Tertiary degree or recognized IT qualification at NQF level 7 or higher. Skills required: Strong Business Acumen Leadership and project management skills Problem solving ability Strong reporting ability Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills Presentation and facilitation skills Excellent communication skills Strong business process knowledge Strong Technical Skills

Job Summary

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical backend services and APIs powering our digital banking platforms. You’ll work closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and business analysts to implement scalable microservices and high-performance systems. Duties: To actively own and be accountable for the overall evolution of multiple Technology or Domain assets while influencing and maintaining the health of the asset. Play a leadership role on the associated COE& unit of work. Senior Java Developer in an Agile squad Conform to Agile Ceremonies Deliver quality code, using GitHub, Sonar Lindt, Sonar Cloud Deliver as per agreed timelines Raise obstacles earlier and communicate to the squad Technology environment – Angular/React/Java JEE/Spring boot/ API/ Data Power/Several Backends/Github/Sonar Lindt/ Sonar Cloud/ AI Experience in working in a big corporate, Finance especially a bank and working with complex components Develop and maintain complex Java-based backend systems for financial services applications Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through code reviews and automated testing Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices and architectural decisions Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning. Develop and maintain complex Java-based backend systems for financial services application Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through code reviews and automated testing Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices and architectural decisions Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives Qualifications: Bachelors degree or Diploma in IT,Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
