About the Role
AtripleA recruitment & temps is seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor to join their team in Johannesburg. Our client, a leading manufacturer of conduit piping and plastics extrusion, requires an experienced professional to manage production shift teams, monitor production activities, and ensure effective and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
- To supervise and manage a production shift consisting of about 10 shift staff.
- To build team spirit within your production shift.
- To mentor the shift leader and impart your knowledge and experience to him.
- To ensure effective start-up of production machinery.
- To make running adjustments to production machinery.
- To undertake running repairs on machinery.
- To perform tool / product changes.
- To perform ongoing maintenance tasks.
- To attend to all breakdowns, minimising downtime.
- To ensure that scrap production is minimised & effectively reprocessed (Material Management).
- To ensure that production efficiencies are maximised.
- To ensure safety and cleanliness of the entire work place.
- To carry out laboratory tests and take necessary corrective action.
- To log machine parameters.
- To ensure compliance with our ISO9001 quality system, maintain Quality standards and procedures.
- To perform project tasks as directed.
- Carry out any other tasks requested by management.
- Ensuring compliance with OHSACT.
- Maintain and control tools and equipment.
- Be fair & firm ensuring compliance with factory rules and carrying out disciplinary action where necessary.
- Work overtime / weekends when required.
- Conduct Best Practice Training Sessions
Requirements
- Qualified artisan (Electrician, Fitter or Millwright) – preferably an electrician
- Minimum N3 qualification.
- 5 – 10 years work experience.
- Plastic pipe extrusion background an advantage.

Salary & Benefits
R140 per hour with overtime and shift allowances. Benefit is provident fund with MIBFA
