About the Role
As a Financial Accounting Supervisor at Network Finance, you will oversee the full accounting function up to trial balance, with a particular focus on forex, cross-border transactions, intercompany accounting, and statutory compliance. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury functions
- Manage foreign exchange accounting, including revaluations, currency updates, and forex petty cash
- Oversee international intercompany balances, reconciliations, and confirmations
- Ensure compliance with SARB requirements for cross-border payments
- Prepare inputs for international and group reporting (HFM or similar consolidation tools)
- Maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations, journals, and monthly provisions
- Analyse monthly expenses and review MTD / YTD performance trends
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
- Oversee banking administration, electronic payments, credit cards, and petty cash
- Process payroll journals and manage statutory third-party payments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, EMP201 submissions, and assist with tax schedules
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
Requirements
- Matric + BCom Accounting (CA(SA) advantageous, not essential)
- Minimum 3+ years’ accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing or a similar environment
- Proven exposure to multinational and multicurrency operations
- Strong technical knowledge of forex accounting, intercompany transactions, VAT, and tax
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Experience working on ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, Sage, or similar
