About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled Technical Reporting Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg West. As the right candidate, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to the finance function, preparing complex financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical position papers on standards and regulations issued by accounting and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare reports for the Audit and Risk Committee relating to technical accounting matters.
- Perform calculations and analyses for complex accounting transactions.
- Prepare SEC and CIPC XBRL tagging of financial statements in line with operational best practice, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with technical guidance, training, and support to the reporting team and broader finance function.
- Prepare quarterly and half-year financial reports.
- Prepare annual financial reports.
- Prepare statutory financial statements for group entities in accordance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification in good standing (non-negotiable).
- 1–3 years’ post-articles experience.
- Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting background.
- Demonstrated interest in technical accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; report writing is a critical component of the role.
- Proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel and computer literate (MS Office).
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (essential).
