About the Role
The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and processing of monthly payroll
- Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel, and overtime claims
- Communicate payroll stats to Payroll Manager and address any concerns or recommendations
- Processing of timesheets and hours (T&A)
- Ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time
- Monthly payroll audits
- Compliance with SARS PAYE, UIF, ETI, Provident Fund & SDL
- Compiling and maintaining all payroll policies and procedures
- Coordinating efforts between the payroll department and other departments for accurate data
- Updating reports, salary sheets, and schedules
Requirements
- At least 3 years extensive experience in Payroll Administration
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and other applications such as Sage software Sage 300 People system
- Advance Excel Vlookup and Pivot tables
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation
- Valid Drivers License & Own Transportation
