About the Role
GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Kimberley. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing cost accounting functions across production environments and partnering with operational teams to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cost accounting functions across production environments
- Partner with operational teams to drive business growth
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Lead and manage a small finance team
- Develop and mentor assistant accountants and inventory controllers
- Travel regularly between production sites
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Cost / Management Accounting role within a Manufacturing or Production environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CIMA qualified, near completion, or extensive relevant cost accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset
- Proven ability to partner with operational and plant management teams
- Leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to lead a small finance team
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
