About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team in Knysna. If you have a flair for pastry and attention to detail, and thrive in a high-paced hospitality environment, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce high-quality pastry and dessert items.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of pastry and dessert items.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development for pastry items.
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in the pastry section.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and broader kitchen team to enhance the guest dining experience.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or restaurant environment is required. Formal culinary qualification in pastry or baking is also necessary. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, desserts, and bakery items is expected. Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards is essential. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is mandatory.
