About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Abattoir Dispatch Manager to oversee and manage the daily dispatch operations at our Kokstad facility, ensuring smooth logistics, product quality, and efficient delivery processes while leading a team to maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee dispatch operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Monitor product quality and stock rotation to comply with safety and hygiene standards.
- Manage logistics, including coordinating delivery schedules, ensuring vehicle readiness, and overseeing the flow of products from plant to customers.
- Maintain the facility to meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Lead, manage, and schedule staff to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Communicate clearly with management, staff, and customers to resolve issues and ensure excellent service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience in dispatch/logistics management, preferably in an abattoir, food processing, or FMCG environment. Strong leadership and staff management skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. Sound knowledge of stock rotation, product quality assurance, and compliance standards.
