Job Description

We are looking for a Site Manger with experience in the building industry with Specific Focus on, Painting Waterproofing and Roofing. We can obviously train an individual if they dont have everything we are looking for if the potential is there. Salary R12000 to R20 000 a month negotiable depending on experience. Minimum Qualifications Grade 12 or N3 or similar Job description as follow: KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. GENERAL 1.1 Complete daily and weekly planning. 1.2 Ensure the effective and correct application of raw materials. 1.3 Provide feedback on any requirements that would enable you to perform your duties more effectively. 1.4 Consistently apply company standards, processes, and policies. 1.5 Strive to meet and exceed performance targets. 1.6 Present a professional image and maintain strong working relationships within your team. 2. SITE REQUIREMENTS 2.1 Complete daily planning and ensure the correct product is used for each task. 2.2 Maintain a safe and clean working environment SAFETY FIRST and Clean as You Go . 2.3 Maintain proper storage discipline at all times (e.g., gas bottles handled and stored safely, especially on bakkies). 2.4 Check the quality of products and provide feedback to the team and suppliers where quality issues arise. 2.5 Produce consistent, top‑class work at all times. 2.6 Check the quality of workmanship, provide feedback to the team, and take disciplinary action where required. 2.7 Understand daily expectations and work consistently throughout the day. 2.8 Maintain quality in all activities driving, safety, site management, final walk‑throughs, and inspections. 2.9 Adhere to safety standards at all times no compromise . 2.10 Report any potential safety risks to management immediately. 2.11 Ensure cleaning includes all areas of the site. 2.12 Ensure tools are cleaned daily. 2.13 Ensure the bakkie is clean at all times. 3. TEAMWORK 3.1 Participate actively in team meetings we work together and support each other. 3.2 Ensure you are in the right place at the right time on all sites. 3.3 Participate in Performance Development Discussions. 3.4 Resolve conflict professionally and constructively. 3.5 Understand weekly application targets. 3.6 Be self‑motivated. 3.7 Communicate effectively and motivate your team. 3.8 Maintain personal punctuality. 3.9 Show pride in personal appearance. 3.10 Use all required safety equipment glasses, hearing protection, gloves, ropes, and safety harnesses. 4. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT 4.1 Book and attend all relevant training workshops. 4.2 Share appropriate knowledge with colleagues. 4.3 Ensure you are professionally trained and competent in the following areas: Safety (OHASA) Planning skills Application techniques Techniques, standards, and supporting administration Loss control and reduction (products are expensive) Safety maintenance and procedures Shrinkage control (losses due to poor planning or theft) Admin control processes (Job Cards) Life skills 5. APPLICATION & TIME MANAGEMENT 5.1 Manage your time to minimise time lost and waste, and maximise production. 5.1.1 Without daily planning, success is not possible. 5.2 Control stock usage to prevent unnecessary waste. 5.3 Communicate delays immediately so solutions can be implemented quickly. 5.4 Maximise application m² while minimising cost and losses at all times. 6. OPERATIONS 6.1 Comply with the service and maintenance plan for all application equipment. 6.2 Use consumables (sandpaper, glue, etc.) sparingly. 6.3 Control and maintain the staff attendance register. 7. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS 7.1 Comply with all rules related to equipment storage and handling. 7.2 Store consumables (sandpaper, glue, etc.) in the storeroom not on site. 7.3 Draw and return equipment to the designated storage area daily. 8. OHASA (HEALTH & SAFETY) 8.1 Comply with all Health & Safety rules. 8.2 Always ensure you are working safely if unsure, ask. 8.3 Check and double‑check that you, your staff, and colleagues are working safely. 8.4 Complete the daily site plan focusing on Health & Safety no exceptions . 8.5 Understand Health & Safety requirements as outlined in your manual; refer to the manual if unsure. 8.6 Non‑compliance with Health & Safety will lead to immediate dismissal.
