About the Role
As a Butler at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and overseeing special events and private dining experiences. You will be the face of our lodge, interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies from stores as needed.
- Overseeing any special events or private dining experiences for guests.
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring accuracy in order delivery and adherence to service standards.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks, according to recipes and guest preferences.
- Set tables and conduct service according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Conduct suite checks both AM and PM ensuring that the mini bars are restocked and that both the still and sparkling water are replenished.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining areas, bar and lounge area including tables, chairs, and service stations, to uphold a welcoming and sanitary environment for guests.
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a lodge or hospitality setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests and colleagues.
Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and building rapport with guests.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and maintain composure during busy service periods.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the Lodges operational needs.
