About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading industrial engineering company specializing in weighing, batching, and material handling systems, is seeking an experienced Junior Mechanical Draughtsman to join their team in Germiston, East Rand. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical design and drafting within a manufacturing or process environment, delivering integrated solutions across industries such as mining, food processing, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs for weighing hoppers, feeders, silos, and related systems
- Design and integrate loadcell assemblies and mechanical components
- Assist with batch plant layouts and retrofit projects
- Create detailed technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and documentation
- Apply GD&T standards and ensure compliance with engineering requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, instrumentation teams, and other technical stakeholders
- Conduct site measurements, troubleshooting, and provide project support
- Ensure all drawings meet company standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- National Diploma or Certificate in Engineering Draughting or related field (NQF 5/6)
- Minimum 23 years experience in a drafting role within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of loadcells, silos, hoppers, and batch plant systems
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking ability
- Valid drivers licence
