About the Role

Millwright position available in Mpumalanga, requiring skilled tradesperson with instrumentation and controls knowledge. Bilnor Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Millwright.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance activities on plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot systems by utilizing design principles
  • Operate and maintain instrumentation systems
  • Maintain records and interpret data
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors
  • Establish effective working relationships with contracted personnel
  • Follow operational and safety procedures
  • Standby duties after hours and over weekends

Requirements

  • Exposure to water treatment plant environment, including noise, vibration, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, solvents, toxic materials, hazardous chemicals within allowable exposure limits as defined by Department of Labour
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and temperatures
  • Experience working in confined spaces
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, standing, walking for prolonged periods, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, operating motorized equipment
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Normal visual range with or without correction to read computer screens and printed documents, operate equipment
  • Normal audio range with or without correction
  • Own vehicle or reliable method of transport required
  • Willingness to travel
  • Accommodation within the region required
  • Ability to work standby duties after hours and over weekends
