About the Role
Tumaini Consulting is seeking an experienced Shaft Foreman to join their client’s department at their operation in Limpopo, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing shaft operations and ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of minerals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of shaft operations to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures
- Supervise a team of miners and support staff to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Develop and maintain schedules for mining activities, taking into account production targets and equipment availability
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of shaft operations with surface operations
- Monitor and report on shaft performance, including production levels, equipment maintenance, and safety incidents
Requirements
- Matric / N3 in Engineering
- Onsetters Certificate
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines
- Minimum 6 Years of Mining Experience
- Minimum 3 Years Supervisory Experience
