Job Description
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and administration of Munsoft Systems, as well as Municipal Finance solutions, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Munsoft System Administration: Creating and configuring segments, projects within the Munsoft system; Managing and maintaining Quick Codes configuration and alignment with mSCOA segments; Supporting Munsoft system users and troubleshooting configuration issues.
- Municipal Financial Reporting: Performing monthly financial reconciliations including bank reconciliations, debtors and creditors reconciliations, control account reconciliations; Preparing and validating budget reports and in-year reporting schedules.
- MSCOA Compliance: Ensuring correct mSCOA segment configuration and mapping; Supporting budget alignment and reporting compliance; Assisting with data integrity checks and system validations.
- Financial System Support: Investigating system data anomalies; Supporting financial reporting processes within Munsoft; Assisting with financial statement preparation where required.
Requirements
- CTA/Degree in Accounting / Finance / Municipal Finance
- 3 years’ experience working with the Munsoft financial system
- Strong knowledge of mSCOA framework
- Experience in municipal financial reporting and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills
