About the Role
Hillary Construction is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Polokwane, South Africa. We require an experienced professional with expertise in asphalt and bitumen processing equipment to ensure reliable plant performance and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, service and repair asphalt plant equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes, screw conveyors)
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning and lubrication
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, VSDs and electrical circuits
- Install, repair and align motor-driven systems
- Fabricate components using lathes, milling and line boring machines
- Carry out welding and fabrication repairs/modifications
- Read and interpret technical, electrical and pneumatic drawings
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts control
Requirements
Trade Certification as a Red Seal Millwright or equivalent
Valid driver’s licence
3 Years of Millwright or industrial maintenance experience, preferably in an asphalt or similar industrial plant
Proficient in machining (lathe, milling, line boring) and welding/fabrication
Experience with Ammann Prime 140 plants and bitumen processing equipment will be an added advantage
